What’s Your Favorite Planet?

For much of August, I conducted an informal poll on Periscope. Periscope is a social media that allows me to broadcast live to the world on the internet.  I’ve been hosting a conversation called “Let’s Talk Astronomy” on Periscope since last December, and have enjoyed meeting some very interesting people there.

During my last 8 broadcasts, I conducted a poll using the honor system.  I asked my viewers to vote only once, and I did nothing to check to see if anyone voted more often.  I asked viewers to indicate their favorite planet.  It could be a planet they like to look at, or like to read about, or like to think of, I really don’t care why it’s their favorite.

The “planet” could be one of the seven others in our system (I told my viewers that I would not count any votes for Earth.)  Dwarf planets, make-believe planets, and exoplanets were all welcome.
